The Saanich Police participates in a variety of specialized police services through cooperative agreements with other Municipal Police Agencies in the Capital Regional District (CRD).  Some of these services require a high degree of specialization (e.g. Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team) or operate better from a regional rather than a local framework (e.g. Crime Stoppers or Victim Services). By integrating and sharing resources among police agencies all communities benifit equally. By working together we have found that we can optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of these special services without compromising the core community policing services that the residents of Saanich are entitled to.
