On January 8th at about 11:30pm, a fire was reported at Frank Hobbs school on Haro road.
A person, gender unknown, was seen tampering with the dumpster outside the school. They were seen to lgnite something in the bin and then flee.
The bin, later found to be a recycle bin, became fully involved and was extinguished by Saanich Fire Department.
A Police Service Dog was used to track from the scene, but the suspect managed to escape.
