A bear or bears have helped themselves to bee hives in the 200 block of Durrance road on two separate occasions this week.
Overnight Wednesday and Thursday, at the same residence, hives were attacked. Although no bear was seen, there was scat left at the scene of the crime. The BC Conservation Service was notified.
Reduce your chances of attracting a bear to your property by controlling your garbage. Be mindful of your small animals and children in the area.
