A red motorcycle was seen turning from Wallace drive onto Willis Point road and accelerate dramatically. The TSU officer managed to lock in the speed on a laser speed reader at a shocking 170kmh!
Once the reading was obtained, the red 2008 Ducati, accelerated even more to a speed in excess of 200kmh! The motorcycle was not pursued by followed until he was caught in some traffic and pulled over.
The rider has a lengthy MVA history of infractions with 2 excessive speed, 5 speed related convictions and a prior three month prohibition along with other various violations.

- Excessive Speeding contrary to the Motor Vehicle Act
The rider’s motor cycle was impounded under the MVA provisions. Options surrounding forfeiture of the motor cycle are being considered.
