Yesterday afternoon at around 2:30, a woman was grabbed, pushed to the ground and groped by a male suspect.
A female victim contacted the Saanich Police yesterday afternoon about an attempted sexual assault which occurred at Gyro Park near the washrooms.
The male suspect approached the victim and engaged her in conversation for about ten minutes. Then, without warning, the male grabbed her wrists and pulled her towards him. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect hunched over her and tried to put his hands down her pants.
The victim pushed the suspect away and managed to run to safety. Saanich Police Patrol officers searched the area extensively but were unable to locate a suspect.
The suspect is described as follows:
- Caucasian male who said his name is ‘Ryan’
- Very pale, albino like complexion, red hair, red stubble
- 5’8” tall, very skinny, approximately 150lbs
- White t-shirt, faded blue jeans, black slip on boots
- Riding a bright orange mountain bike with an orange helmet
- Carrying an over the shoulder style dark coloured back-pack
