Saanich Police seized over 900 marihuana plants Thursday night (August 16th) in the 5300 block of Alderley Road. This is in the Cordova Ridge area of Saanich.
Street Crime Unit investigators were assisted by BC Hydro personnel due to the presence of two separate sophisticated hydro diversions at the scene.
There were two large grow operations in full production. One was in a large detached garage and the other was in the home.
Several kilograms of freshly cut and dried marihuana bud was also seized.
A 51 year old Duncan man and a 50 year old Victoria woman were arrested by police.
Both were later released to appear in Provincial Court in early October.
Proposed charges will include Production of Marihuana, Production of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking and Theft of Electricity.
