Around 3:15pm on August 29, 2012 the Saanich Police building shook during a 3.3 magnitude earthquake that was felt across the CRD.
There is not believed to be any damage to the Saanich Police building, or any other emergency facilities in Saanich.
At 4:30 pm Saanich has yet to receive any reports of damage or injury as a result of the eartquake, which is reported to have struck in the Goldstream Lake area (Langford), but is being reported along the Pacific North American Coast.
Initial reports claim a 4.3 earthquake outside of Los Angeles, California, USA.
