The male responsible for a robbery at the TD Bank in the 4000 block of Quadra Street yesterday has still yet to be identified.
Investigators have recovered photographs of the suspect that document his actions within the bank, as well as photographs taken while the suspect was fleeing from the scene.
Attached are the photographs of the suspect entering the bank with a handgun, as well as photographs of the suspect demanding the cash from the teller area. There are also two photographs attached displaying the aftermath of the dye pack as the suspect fled through an adjacent parking lot.
As you will see from the photo’s this was a very dramatic and dynamic event.
It is strongly believed that the suspect will have been subjected to the dye from the dye pack on any exposed skin on his face and hands, as well as his clothing. It is also believed that the cash stolen during this incident may also be dyed with orange or red dye as a result of the dye pack exploding.
Investigators are still looking for information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saanich Police Department @ 250-475-4321 or Crime Stoppers @1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
