A vendor and owner of a hot dog cart is puzzled by the theft of the item from a driveway in the 3600 block of Raymond Street South in Saanich.
The “Dog Nation” cart was stolen between 11:00 p.m. on Saturday evening and 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Although there was no evidence left behind at the scene, the cart was most likely attached to a vehicle and towed away from the area. Area neighbours were canvassed for information, however, nobody saw the removal of the cart from the driveway.
The value of the cart is estimated to be approximately $30,000. The cart itself is distinctive, equipped with a grill, prep area, and sink. (please see attached photo).
The cart was equipped with BC Licence Plate number URL75H.
Anyone who may have information relating to the theft of the hot dog cart, or its current whereabouts, are asked to contact Saanich Police at 250-475-4321 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-222-TIPS (8477).
