“A three-peat as a Canadian Champion is an exceptional accomplishment” said Saainch Police K9 Unit Supervisor Sgt. Glen Mckenzie. “Jon works extremely hard at his craft and it is not by accident or good luck that he is the champ. It speaks highly of Jon’s talent and dedication, our K9 Program, and the tremeandous support we get from our Department”.
Cst. Zielinski and Zeke weren’t the only team from the Saanich Police Department that attended and competed at this years competition. Cst. Aaron Thompson and his Canine partner Asher also represented, and finished well, leaving a promising future for the K9 program. Cst. Thompson and Asher came second in Obedience, and had high placements in both the Building and Compound Searches.
