Saanich Police, as well as investigators from the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit, have concluded their investigation into the deaths of two individuals at a residence in the 3700 block of Epsom Drive.
“As a result of the investigation, we are now in a position to say that the deaths do not appear to be suspicious” Sgt. Steve Eassie said. “The investigation will be continued by the BC Coroners Service.”
The scene was released by Detectives at about 11:30 a.m. this morning.
Officers first responded to the residence on Wednesday, February 25, at about 9:30 p.m. after reports were received that there were two people found deceased within the home.
A female in her 80’s and a female in her 50’s were both later determined to be associated to the residence.
The identities of the two deceased may be released by the BC Coroners Service, however, will not be released or confirmed by Police at this time.
As this is an ongoing investigation by the BC Coroners Service, we are not in a position to share further details, or speculate the causes of death for the two people. We can state that there is no apparent risk to the public.
