UPDATE:
On September 11 2017, just after 12:30PM, Saanich Police responded to multiple 911 calls about a crash at the intersection of Boleskine Rd/Harriet Rd. Upon Police arriving it was apparent that a truck and motorcycle had collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 58 year old man from North Saanich, has succumb to his injuries.
Saanich Police are currently on scene and expect to have Boleskine Rd, near the crash site, completely closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The road will most likely be closed well into the evening and Saanich Police are asking people to use an alternate route.
Many Officers are still on the scene including Officers from the Saanich Police Crash Analyst Team. Officers are still investigating the cause of the crash. On September 11 2017, just after 12:30PM, Saanich Police responded to multiple 911 calls about a crash at the intersection of Boleskine Rd/Harriet Rd. Upon Police arriving it was apparent that a truck and motorcycle have collided. The motorcycle rider has been transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Saanich Police are currently on scene and expect to have Boleskine Rd completely closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic for several hours. As the road will most likely be closed still during rush hour please plan an alternate route.
