Saanich Police responded to an armed robbery this past Saturday, June 29, 2019. It happened at about 10am at the Chevron gas station at the intersection of Quadra Street and Cloverdale Avenue. An unknown man entered the store and while pointing a gun at the store clerk, demanded money. The suspect fled on foot towards Cloverdale Avenue after the clerk handed him a quantity of cash. The clerk, a 21 year old man, was thankfully not physically hurt during the incident.
The suspect is described as possibly Asian with a receding hair line or possibly even bald. He wore a grey and white hoodie, black jeans, grey gloves, sunglasses and a medical mask over his face. A picture of the suspect obtained from the store’s video surveillance system is below:
