Saanich Police investigators have now been able to identify the suspect involved in the assault in Brydon Park on Tuesday.
We would like to thank everyone in the community who came forward to provide information to assist in identifying the suspect. As charges have not officially been sworn in the courts and no arrest has been made as of this writing, no further information about the suspect will be released at this time.
The investigation continues and we will provide the public with any updates that we are able to share.

Fortunately, the victim in this case did not sustain any serious injuries and it was very heartwarming to see the community rally around and support this person for speaking out against what they believed was the mistreatment of an animal.”
