Just after 12 p.m. today officers responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Cook St and Cloverdale Ave. Police later took one person into custody, who was transported to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Cook Street between Maplewood Rd and Salsbury Way will be closed for several hours as investigators process the scene.
The Independent Investigation Office (IIO) has been notified and is conducting an investigation.
