The Saanich Police and the BC Coroners Service have identified the body of the deceased male found near Swan Lake Sanctuary on Oct. 12. As part of the investigation, communications with VicPD revealed he was the subject of a missing person investigation. The death is not considered suspicious. “With the next of kin notifications now complete, we offer our condolences to the family. At this point, the BC Coroners Service will assume conduct of the file,” stated D/Sgt. Damian Kowalewich.
