Detectives are looking to speak with two good Samaritans who turned over a wallet to police in October of last year.
On October 12th, 2022, two people, believed to be in their 60s, attended the front desk at the Saanich Police Department and handed over a wallet they had found while walking in the Blenkinsop Lake Park area. Since that time, the wallet has been discovered to be linked to a historical Saanich Police file from the late 1980s.
Detectives with the Major Crime Unit are seeking more information and would like to speak to the two people that kindly handed the wallet in.
“We know some time has passed since this wallet was turned in but we’re hopeful that these two individuals hear this and come forward to speak with our investigators,” said Cst. Markus Anastasiades.”
