At approximately 11:00 PM on January 3, 2025, Saanich Patrol officers, along with members of our Traffic Safety Unit, responded to a report of a motor vehicle incident at the intersection of Quadra Street and Tattersall Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a single vehicle had collided with a construction vehicle on the east side of the intersection, which is currently closed to traffic.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was unresponsive. Despite the efforts of our officers, Saanich Fire, and paramedics, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin have been notified.
This matter remains under investigation.
