At approximately 5am on September 9, 2025, Saanich Police officers, responding to a check well-being in the Royal Oak area, located a deceased adult male. Due to the suspicious nature of the death, the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) is now investigating.
A second adult male has been taken into custody in relation to this matter.
While the investigation is in its early stages, detectives have determined that there is no ongoing risk to the public.
