Driver Fails to Remain at Scene of Collision

On January 15, just after 4:30 p.m., patrol and Traffic Safety Unit officers responded to a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Knockan Drive and Helmcken Road.

Upon arrival, officers learned that five vehicles were involved in a series of rear-end collisions. The vehicle believed to have caused the chain-reaction crash, a newer model Black GMC pickup truck, left the scene before police arrived.

There were no injuries reported. The first vehicle struck by the black pickup truck sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene.
