The Saanich Police Department continues to investigate the theft of a large collection of First Nations art that was stolen from a residence in Gordon Head on April 2, 2024.
The stolen collection, valued at more than $60-thousand dollars, includes several pieces by First Nations artist Calvin Moreberg, as well as Inuit carvings.
Several of the stolen pieces have since been recovered; however, many remain outstanding.
