On Friday, May 15, 2026, the Saanich Police Department’s Patrol Division, with support from the Street Crime Unit (SCU), the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team, the Integrated Canine Service and the Forensic Identification Section, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Dupplin Road in relation to a drug trafficking investigation. At the same time, a search warrant was executed at a storage locker linked to the investigation.

The warrants were executed following extensive proactive policing by Patrol Division officers in the Midtown area, with support from the SCU.

The search resulted in the seizure of approximately three kilograms of what is believed to be fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, along with 10 litres of GHB. The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately $55,000.

A significant amount of stolen property was also recovered, including heat pumps, air conditioners, generators and lawn mowers, valued at approximately $25,000. The rightful owner has been identified, and the items will be returned.

Two individuals were arrested at the time and later released. Patrol officers and the SCU continue to investigate and anticipate recommending several drug trafficking related charges to Crown counsel.
