Saanich Police are investigating another overnight commercial break and enter that follows two other similar thefts earlier in the week.
This morning at approximately 5:25 a.m., officers responded to a report of a commercial intrusion alarm at the Home Outfitters store located at Tillicum Mall in the 3100 block of Tillicum Road.
Upon arrival at the store, the front glass doors to the store were noted to have been broken allowing entry to the store.
“While we are still in the early stages of this investigation, it would certainly appear to have a number of similarities to two previous incidents from earlier this week” Sgt. Steve Eassie said.
Store eomplyees are attemping to determine a list of all of the items missing. At this time, it would appear that two high end coffee makers, and several thousand dollars of individually packaged Henkel knives were stolen by the theives.
The store has a monitored alarm system that registered the alarm to the store at 5:05 in the morning. Saanich Police were notified of the alarm at about 5:25.
Investigators will be comparing information and video surveillance from all three incidents to determine whether they are in fact related.
