At about 11pm on July 18, 2019, a 31 year old woman was walking home through Rutledge Park when an unknown man wrapped his arms around her upper body from behind. The man didn’t say anything and released the woman when she kicked her leg back towards him. The man immediately fled the park towards Cloverdale Avenue.
The woman remained in the park until police arrived, including a K9 team, and searched the area. The man was not located though.
The woman was physically uninjured and has since been supported by Victim Services.
Despite efforts by police, the man remains unidentified. He is described as being Caucasian, 6’0” to 6’3”, skinny, with messy hair and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing dark pants and a Mexican style knit blanket sweater with black and grey stripes.
