Just before 1:00am on Wednesday, November 20th, the Saanich Police were called to assist Saanich Fire with traffic control at the intersection of Quadra Street and Lodge Ave. as fire crews worked to put out a fully engulfed structure fire.
The area remains closed as work on the fire continues, and we anticipate the 3900 blk of Quadra Street, between Union Rd. and Falmouth Rd., to be closed for a significant portion of the day.
We are asking people to avoid the area.
The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
