On November 21, 2024, at approximately 12:45pm, the Saanich Police were called to a parking lot in Beaver Lake Park for the report of an assault in progress. When officers arrived, they located a male with significant injuries. He was transported to hospital in critical but stable condition.
A second male was arrested at the scene. They were held in custody overnight and are scheduled to appear in court today.
Our investigators believe this was a targeted incident as the two individuals are known to each other.
There is no risk to the public.
