Update:
Saturday evening, West Shore RCMP located Laila based upon a tip from the public. She was well and has been returned home.
Yesterday, a woman was reported missing to the Oak Bay Police. The incident is now being investigated by Saanich Police Detectives.
The missing woman, Laila Szakacs, who also goes by Taylor, 22 yrs of age, resides in Oak Bay. According to the landlord, the person who contacted police, she was last seen on December 6th leaving the house with a friend.
All attempts to locate Laila thus far have been unsuccessful and her cell phone does not appear to be working. In the past, Laila has been known to frequent the downtown Victoria area.
Anyone who may know anything about the whereabouts of Laila (Taylor) Szakacs, is encouraged to contact the Saanich Police at 250-475-4388 and speak with the investigator Sgt. Paul Smith.
