On Friday, February 10, 2023, at approximately 3:15 am, officers responded to an alarm at Cedar Hill Middle School, where they discovered that an unknown person(s) gained entry to the school and discharged several fire extinguishers throughout the building. School District 61 was notified as the damage was extensive and will require significant clean-up. The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone that may have information or saw anything suspicious near the school this morning is asked to call SPD at 250-475-4321 or report what they know anonymously through the Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
