On April 25th, the Saanich Police Department’s Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Westshore RCMP, the Island District Emergency Response Team, and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team, executed search warrants on residences in the 800 block of Drummond Way, in Colwood and the 2300 block of Millstream Rd, in Langford.
The warrants resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of illegal drugs which include 1.2 kilograms of fentanyl, .5 kilograms of cocaine, 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine, large quantities of GHB, and steroids. Their street value is estimated to be over $200-thousand dollars.
In addition to the drugs, $55-thousand dollars in Canadian currency was seized as well as a loaded 9-milimetre firearm known as a “ghost gun.”
A 35-year-old male, was arrested and later released pending charges. Our investigation continues into this matter.
