On June 22, 2025, just before 6pm, a cyclist heading eastbound on McKenzie Avenue collided with a southbound red vehicle, believed to be a Ford Escape, in the intersection of McKenzie and Blenkinsop Road. The vehicle had just turned left off McKenzie onto Blenkinsop. The cyclist suffered significant but not life-threatening injuries. The vehicle failed to stay at the scene.
