The Saanich Police Major Crime Unit is investigating the discovery of a deceased individual just off the Galloping Goose Trail between Burnside Road W. and the Trans-Canada Highway near Cuthbert Holmes Park. We are in the early stages of this investigation, the death does not appear suspicious in nature, and there is no apparent risk to the public.
A portion of the Galloping Goose Trail has been closed to allow for detectives to investigate. We ask that people please avoid the area.
