On November 12, 2025, a Sergeant in our Traffic Safety Unit (TSU) stopped a vehicle for excessive speeding. The driver was caught doing 121 km/h while travelling eastbound in the 1400 block of McKenzie Ave. The posted speed limit in that area is 50 km/h.
The driver was issued a ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act for excessive speed, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days. The Sergeant has also submitted a follow up with Road Safety BC requesting that the driver be subject to a driving prohibition.
