On January 22, 2026, just before 9:30 p.m., Saanich Patrol officers responded to the 1600 Block of McKenzie Avenue after an individual called 911 to report they had just been assaulted.
Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from significant facial injuries. Emergency Health Services attended and transported the individual to hospital for treatment.
The circumstances of the assault remain under investigation. Officers are working to identify the suspect, who is described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s to early 30s, with short brown hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a brown jacket at the time of the incident.
