The Saanich Police Department has received several reports this morning of a cougar being spotted in the 4200 block of Cedar Hill Rd. Our officers are in the area attempting to locate the animal and the BC Conservation Service have been notified.
We are asking those who are outside in the area of Cedar Hill Rd. and Cedarglen Rd. to be alert and cautious.
If you encounter a cougar, walk away slowly, call 911 and the BC Conservation Service at 1-877-952-7277.
