On Sept 28, 2025, at approximately 10 a.m., a dark-colour Honda sedan collided with two individuals as it exited Shelbourne Plaza onto Pear St. The two individuals suffered significant but not life-threatening injuries. The vehicle failed to remain at the scene and was last seen driving west on Pear St.
Following a review of available video of the incident, officers in our Traffic Safety Unit identified both the vehicle and the driver. On October 9, 2025, the driver was issued two tickets under the Motor Vehicle Act: one for driving without due care and attention and one for failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
Each ticket carries a financial penalty of $368, and the driver is subject to penalty points against their licence.
