On January 10, 2026, just before 5 a.m., Saanich patrol officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in the 1000 block of Kenneth Street.
Upon arrival, officers found two individuals inside the home. One had suffered a stab wound that required immediate medical attention. Officers administered first aid until paramedics arrived, and the injured person was transported to hospital. The injuries are considered serious but are not believed to be life-threatening.
The second individual was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and breaching conditions. This person remains in custody pending the results of a bail hearing.
