On March 18, 2026, at 1:45 p.m., Saanich Police received a report of a robbery at a bank in the 300 block of Burnside Road West.
The suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, and produced a note demanding money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was tracked to a building in the 3600 block of Tillicum Road. Officers responded to the area, located the suspect, and arrested them shortly after 2:15 p.m. They remain in custody.
The Saanich Police Department’s Major Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation.
Victim Services has been engaged to support bank employees affected by the incident.
